What About The Environment?

It is no secret that the fashion industry has a significant impact on the environment. We all need to do our bit, and in fashion this means buying less, reusing more and recycling everything at the end of its useful life.

We are a small family-run business in the UK. As a new company, we wanted to start as we mean to go on. We have targets for the following:

  • 99% waste diverted from landfill (2021 : 97%)

  • All our business operations are carbon neutral (2022)

  • To work with our suppliers to provide sustainable fashion lines, in order to fully implement sustainable fashion by 2025. Some of our products already use organic cotton and many are produced in partnership with the Better Cotton Initiative.

CARBON ASSESSMENT

Carbon Footprint Ltd has assessed our carbon emissions from 2018-2019. This assessment included all scope 1, 2 and some scope 3 emissions, in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate standard.

We included all emissions that were associated with transport of our goods from our suppliers, as well as emissions associated with delivery of our products to our customers. More than 75% of our carbon emissions were attributable to transport.

Our warehousing operations are powered by 100% renewable electricity.

We have chosen to offset the carbon emissions that we cannot avoid by investing in planting trees in the UK.

What About This Ltd is recognised as a Carbon Neutral Organisation by the Carbon Footprint Standard.
